We offer a seasonal outdoor program: some dates are more farm-based, and some are more wilderness-based. Our programs balance interactive instruction observation, and play. Drop off your kids, or stay and learn.

  • Ages 5-12
  • $35/student, $15/adult—includes program and lunch
  • Siblings under 5 can come for free ONLY with an accompanying (paid) adult
    • Siblings under 5 MUST be registered with an accompanying (paid) adult guardian to stay and supervise them.
    • Note that the homeschool program is designed for youth ages 5-12, and the 0-5 option is for younger siblings to attend with their supervising adult/guardian, not because the program is catered to this age group.
  • Each program starts 10am and ends at 3pm.
  • Registration deadline is one week prior to the program date. Space is limited. Walk-ins may be refused.

Come spend the fall season on the farm! This is a four-part cumulative ag ed series at Camp St. Croix’s Grow and Gather Farm. This progressive series teaches homeschool students’ info that builds with each session—providing a wholistic agriculture education that changes with the season.

Students will have the opportunity to explore the high tunnel, wander through the Discovery Garden, and work with egg-laying hens. Learning through the hands-on study session, and experiencing real work on the farm, students will make meaningful connections between the food they eat and the land where it grows. Making these connections will help develop these young leaders into responsible stewards of the land.

Sign up for one or all the sessions in this series! Each session is designed to be either stand-alone or part of the entire fall series.

For more information, educational options within the day, and registration contact Camp St. Croix Farm Director, Anna, at anna.zimmer@ymcamn.org or call her at 651-739-6599.
