Explore programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children in our brand-new facility located on the Midway YMCA campus.

Early Childhood Learning Center

A nurturing environment where children learn, grow, and build confidence through play-based experiences and caring relationships.

For children ages 6 weeks through 5 years.

Before & After School Care

Expert care and engaging activities that complement the school day and help students thrive before and after school. Enrollment for the 2026–27 school year is now open.

For children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

School Release Days

When school is out, the Y is in. School Release Days provide fun, active, and enriching experiences during district breaks and holidays. Registration Opens August 5.

A NEW ERA FOR COMMUNITY WELLBEING

The Center for Child and Family Wellbeing isn’t just a new building—it’s a vibrant, multi-generational hub built to walk alongside local families.

Our brand-new, 29,000-square-foot center at 530 Wheeler Street North is designed to strengthen family wellbeing, promote economic prosperity, and empower our community through a holistic approach.

Programs & Enrollment

The YMCA Peter J. King Family Foundation Center for Child and Family Wellbeing opened in September 2026 for the start of the 2026–27 school year, with expanded Early Childhood Learning and School Age Care programs now available for families.

Tours are now available! You can book your tour online today call (612) 268-4442 with any questions.

Families may park in the parking lot or pull up along the front entry sidewalk when dropping off or picking up their child(ren).

Parents/guardians are required to enter the building with their child(ren) and complete sign-in and sign-out using the tablets located in The Landing (main lobby).

Please be mindful of other families arriving and departing, particularly when using the front entry area, and avoid blocking traffic or other vehicles.

Midway YMCA Member Information

With construction now complete, we do not expect further related parking or traffic flow disruptions. 

The Midway YMCA parking lot will continue to be reserved for YMCA members and guests. Street parking is also available. We ask that members only utilize the new Center’s parking lot as absolute need. 

Members may utilize the lot at the new center as overflow parking while visiting the Midway Y after 6 p.m. on Monday through Friday, and branch operating hours Saturday and Sunday.
