Homeschool: Farm & Garden

Come spend the day on the Farm at YMCA Gathering Pines! This is a four-part cumulative ag ed series which happens both in the fall and spring. This progressive series teaches homeschool students’ info that builds with each session—providing a wholistic agriculture education that changes with the season. 

Students will have the opportunity to explore the caterpillar tunnel, wander through the educational gardens, and work with egg-laying hens. Learning through the hands-on study session, and experiencing real work on the farm, students will make meaningful connections between the food they eat and the land where it grows. Making these connections will help develop these young leaders into responsible stewards of the land. 

Packing List: 

• Appropriate clothing for weather
• Shoes
• Water bottle, lunch & snacks

*Note: each homeschool program will require a minimum number of participants. If minimum number is not reached, the homeschool session will be canceled, and full refunds will be processed.
