Generations of past campers, guides, and staff members gathered at Camp Menogyn in July 2022 to celebrate Menogyn’s 100th anniversary with food, live music, and day trips to neighboring Superior National Forest destinations. With camp updates, youth activities, a contra dance, and more on the anniversary weekend’s itinerary it was a time to reconnect and celebrate the camp’s proud history.
Reflecting on the last 100 years, it’s clear that Menogyn remains a special place and a homeaway-from-home for many — 350 traveled to camp to celebrate the anniversary. Yet over the past century, camp has evolved to meet the needs of campers throughout the years and continues to do so. Just one example is coming this summer — the first Nor’wester trips for all-gender campers.
