Become a Junior Counselor at Day Camp Spring Lake

Ages 14-17 years old

The Junior Counselor’s main role is to assist the Senior Counselor in leading groups and providing fun and safe experiences for children. The Junior Counselor will help the campers acquire a feeling of high self-esteem, self-worth and competence in an outdoor setting. Junior Counselor volunteers can also assist with program areas at camp such as Arts & Crafts, Archery, STEAM, Team Building & more!

We ask that Junior Counselors commit to volunteering for 3-4+ weeks during the summer. For 2026 the weeks that will be available for Junior Counselors to volunteer will be the weeks of June 15-August 28. (Some weeks will have a limited amount of JCs able to sign up for that week (on weeks where Leaders In Training will be shadowing).

The 2026 Junior Counselor application will be available before the end of January. Virtual interviews for Junior Counselors will begin in May!
