Where Camp Memories Live On: Alumni Happy Hour Recap
Camp St. Croix spirit was alive and well on April 9 as alumni from across the years came together at Lake Monster Brewing. From longtime friendships to first-time reconnections, the evening offered space to reminisce, share stories, and celebrate the community that camp continues to build.
Director of Alumni Philanthropy, Natalie King, said, “For a while, we heard the same thing from our alumni, ‘we only ever hear from you when you ask for money,’ and that is NOT our intent. We want to have a real relationship with the people who have made a lasting impact on our camps. We want to get to know them, hear about their experiences, and learn about camp history from the people who made it! It is the highlight of my job to meet with alumni and hear their stories, and I am so grateful to Dan and his team for setting up this awesome event!”
Camp Business Administrator, Sanora Braucks, shared,
“It’s so great for us to be able to hold events like this and get an array of people together from so many different eras who still care deeply for this place and all that we do! Not only is it a time to get together and share stories of the past and reminisce about all the great times we have had over the years, but it is also a way to keep everyone updated on what is new and exciting and available to them, helping them stay engaged. We loved seeing so many people who have all played a part in making Camp St. Croix what it is today, and we hope to host more events like these in the future!
