In 1927, the YMCA identified the Warren family’s summer home as an ideal location for a new overnight camp. In August 2022, more than 80 people from generations of campers converged on Camp Warren to celebrate 95 years with a silly campfire, a sailing regatta, Sunday Reflection, and BORP!
Adding to the 95th anniversary celebration, Camp Warren published decades of memories from John Rowe. John was the camp’s director for 33 years, and he was central to building the Camp Warren location and programs of today. He originally created a series of cassette recordings, which were transcribed by Sandy Kailanen; edited by Susan Long, Doug Mayo, and Ken Lippin; and proofread by a great team of volunteers.
