Resource Families - Camp du Nord
Seasoned family campers can apply to be a Resource Family. Resource Families support campers throughout the week by leading activities such as Polar Bear Plunge and leading an Adult Group activity each day.
Cost & Accommodations
- Being a Resource Family costs $300.
- Resource Families stay in Nipigon, in Northland Village, or The Yurt in Pine Pointe

- Applications open October 14, 2024, and are due Friday, November 22, 2024.
- Applicants will be informed by Monday, December 2, 2024.

Leadership Development Program - Camp du Nord
Teens who have finished 9th grade, through teens that have finished 12th grade will learn about leadership through training and helping camp counselors facilitate programs.
Cost & Accommodations
LDP Participants stay in LDP housing in Pine Pointe ViIllage, Superior. There are two sleeping buildings and a shared communal space.
With a continued focus on equity, we are excited to bring back a tiered pricing system for 2025 Leadership Development Program registration.
The registration tier you select will directly support the continued operation of this program. There are a range of pricing levels intended to support each family’s financial situation. This means you can choose from a range of tiers and opt in to pay the amount that suits your family best.
- Tier 1 – $1,800 (reflects premium amount to help offset subsidized tier options)
- Tier 2 - $1,400 (reflects actual cost of LDP Program which includes lodging, food and, staffing and transportation)

- Tier 3 – $1,000
- Tier 4 – $600
- Tier 5 - $200
- Payment Schedule – An initial 25% deposit will be followed by three equal payments on the first of the month in April, May, and June.
LDP Home & Away
In the Summer of 2025 Camp du Nord is offering a unique program for teens. LDP Home and Away is a two-week LDP experience that begins with a week in the Twin Cities and ends with a 3-4 night canoe trip in the Boundary Waters.
The first week of programming runs from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and focuses on connection to nature and environment through service at local non-profits.
The following week, the group will head up to du Nord, pack-up, and head out on a 3-4 canoe trip led by our fantastic staff.
Option included in the LDP Application.

Tentative Transportation Schedule
Sunday going to camp:
- Participants should arrive at the White Bear Lake YMCA (2100 Orchard Ln, White Bear Lake, MN 55110) no later than 7:45 a.m.
- The bus will depart White Bear Lake at 8:00 a.m. and they will arrive at camp between 12:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
*There is a $60 transportation fee to ride the bus to/from camp.
Sunday leaving camp:
The participants will depart after lunch, this is generally around 1:00 - 1:30 p.m. The bus will arrive back at the White Bear Lake YMCA at approximately 5:30 - 6:00 p.m.
