Resource Families - Camp du Nord

Resource Families assist campers and staff throughout the week with activities such as Polar Bear Plunge/Big & Little Dippers and leading an Adult Group activity each day. Being a Resource Family only costs $300 for a week-long session and now includes lunch and dinner meal service.

Resource Families at Camp du Nord will stay in Nipigon or the Pine Pointe Yurt.

  • Nipigon – Located in Northland Village, this cabin sleeps up to 4 people. It has a small kitchen and running water but no bathroom inside the cabin.
  • Pine Pointe Yurt – Located in Pine Pointe Village, this Yurt sleeps up to 5 people. It has a microwave but no full kitchen and no bathroom. This cabin does have running water.

  • Applications open October 13, 2024, and are due Friday, November 24, 2024.
  • Applicants will be informed by Friday, December 1, 2024.

Leadership Development Program - Camp du Nord

Teens who have finished 9th grade, through teens that have finished 12th grade will learn about leadership through training and helping camp counselors facilitate programs. Applications open on October 18, 2023 and are due Friday, November 24, 2023. Through a tiered pricing payment model, participants can select a price-point between $200-$1600, with additional scholarship support available. The intention of the tiered pricing model is to provide an accessible range of costs. Folks that select a tier with a higher price point help support the cost for those that attend at a lower cost. LDP Session offers will be sent by Friday, December 8, 2023.

  • Session 5: August 4 - 18

Registration Process & Tiered Pricing NEW!!

With a continued focus on equity, we are excited to bring back a tiered pricing system for 2024 Leadership Development Program registration.

The registration tier you select will directly support the continued operation of this program. There are a range of pricing levels intended to support each family’s financial situation. This means you can choose from a range of tiers and opt in to pay the amount that suits your family best.

  • Tier 1 – $1600
  • Tier 2 – $1200
  • Tier 3 – $800
  • Tier 4 – $400
  • Tier 5 – $200

Tentative Transportation Schedule

Sunday going to camp:

  • Participants should arrive at the White Bear Lake YMCA (2100 Orchard Ln, White Bear Lake, MN 55110) no later than 7:45 a.m.
  • The bus will depart White Bear Lake at 8:00 a.m. and they will arrive at camp between 12:0 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Sunday leaving camp:

  • The participants will depart after lunch, this is generally around 1:00 - 1:30 p.m.
  • The bus will arrive back at the White Bear Lake YMCA at approximately 5:30 - 6:00  p.m.

*There is a $40 transportation fee to ride the bus to/from camp.
