Tap into Spring!

On the shores of Lake Independence, tucked away from the busyness of the city, lies a beautiful 160+ acres of land we call Camp Ihduhapi. On this land, one element distinguishes itself more than anything else…Maple Trees!

Join camp staff in March 2021 for our inaugural Maple Syrup Madness. Choose to register for a single-day of history, education, and hands on support as you tap a tree, or select an immersive month-long experience that takes you from the tapping of a tree, all the way to the bottling of your very own maple syrup.

Option 1: Maple Syrup Experience

Cost: $50

  • Education, history, tree tapping materials and support.
  • Up to three 5-gallon buckets to collect sap.

A few more things:

  • Specific dates are subject to change. The process of collecting maple sap is entirely dependent on weather. Flexibility in availability is important for this program.
  • Registration is for the program, not for the individual participant. You can sign up for either the Maple Syrup Experience or the Maple Syrup Adventure as an individual or with several people. If you would like to fill more than three 5-gallon buckets, you will need to register multiple times.
  • This is a very hands-on experience. Ihduhapi staff will help support you, but the intent of the program is to immerse yourself in the Maple Tree tapping journey.
