Upon Arrival at Menogyn
Menogyn is located on the wilderness side of West Bearskin Lake with no direct road access. Our magical location means that arriving at camp has an added layer of adventure. Upon arrival at the Menogyn parking lot, we'll greet you at the Welcome Pavilion and assist you across the lake. In the autumn months, we provide a pontoon shuttle across the lake. We also leave a stash of canoes, paddles, and lifejackets if you would prefer to paddle to camp. In the wintertime, families walk across the frozen lake on a packed trail. We provide hauling sleds for your gear and luggage. We can assist those with special needs across the lake with a snowmobile. We kindly ask that families arrive between 6 and 8pm.
During your Stay at Menogyn
- Heated sleeping arrangements
- Three home cooked meals a day
- One-day and half-day guided trips into the BWCA and surrounding areas
- Campfires and games led by Menogyn staff
- During the winter, dogsledding is available (weather dependent) *
Departure from Menogyn
Departure is after breakfast on the last day. In line with Menogyn’s values, we ask that families do an initial round of cabin cleaning and sanitizing prior to departure.
Scholarships are available.
Please call us at 612-822-2267 if you have any questions.
*Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be offering dogsledding programs for the 2021 winter season. We have full intentions to bring back the dogsledding program for winter 2022.
