As we’re gearing up for another great summer, we continue to collaborate with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), American Camp Association (ACA), departments of health and camp experts for guidance.

Below you will find COVID-19 related protocol as of June 2022. This may change depending on the current level of community spread and changing guidance.

CAMPER PRE ARRIVAL
  • Y of the North strongly recommends that all eligible campers are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to the start of their camp session. 
  • If your camper has been exposed to COVID-19, we ask that you follow the 5-day quarantine guidelines by sending you camper with a KN-95 mask for indoor spaces. 
  • Please contact Camp as soon as possible if you have a positive test result. We will work with families to review the circumstances and develop a response plan. 
TRANSPORTATION
  • Masking requirements for bus transportation will follow local school district guidance.
  • Specific camp locations will provide masking requirements for buses prior to the start of your camp session. 
  • Fresh air will be circulated on the bus.
RESPONSE TO SYMPTOMATIC INDIVIDUALS
  • All decisions related to responding to individuals with COVID-like symptoms will be made in consultation with our administrative team and camper guardians. 
  • Should you camper show sign of illness, you may be called to pick up your camper. We will work with families to coordinate this transition as smoothly and quickly as possible. 
  • If you camper tests positive for COVID-19, they will not be allowed back in programming for at least 5 days 
  • After 5-day quarantine, campers may rejoin programming. If still showing symptoms, they will be required to mask indoors for the remaining 5 days.
GENERAL HEALTH & SAFETY
  • Most camp programming happens exclusively outside. 
  • Camp groups will operate in pods, and avoid large group gatherings indoors. 
  • Masking is always an option, and we will follow CDC guidelines regarding masking reflective of local status (COVID-19 Community Levels | CDC). 
  • Campers should stay home if sick and get tested. 
  • Please inform camp in the event of a positive COVID-19 case, so we can inform immediate group members similar to how we respond to other communicable diseases. We strongly suggest to test prior to returning to camp programing.
