Camp Ihduhapi Winter BOLD/GOLD Retreat

Join us for an outdoor leadership experience!  This is an overnight retreat for those who are, have been, or who may be thinking of becoming BOLD/GOLD participants!  Youth will get the opportunity to expand their knowledge of the program and form connections with other past/present participants. Throughout the weekend, we will both build and practice community, self-awareness, self-expression, problem-solving, inclusion, and critical thinking through physical activity in nature.

Cost: $70.00

Minnesota Facilitator Summit

March 4
9:00am – 5:00pm

Join us at YMCA Camp Ihduhapi for the second annual Minnesota (and surrounding states) Facilitator Summit! A fun and fulfilling opportunity for challenge course, teambuilding, and experiential learning facilitators - anyone who leads, instructs, or facilitates in a group setting! This is a one day mini-conference to network with other regional facilitators and professionals, learn new skills and techniques, and create a Midwest community of practitioners. Lunch is included. $30 per person or $14 student rate. If desired, overnight lodging can be accommodated with additional cost.

Maple Syrup Immersion

  • March 18: 9am-12pm or 1-4pm

Get hands on with an immersive maple syrup experience - learn the steps from tree to sap, sap to syrup, and syrup to sugar! Only one registration needed per group; perfect for your family or group of friends (up to 8 people included in one group). In a small group setting, you'll learn how to identify sugar maple trees, practice tapping trees, collect sap, and how to evaporate sap to produce syrup and maple sugar. During the three hour experience, you will also have access to Camp Ihduhapi hiking trails and campfires.

Maple Syrup Festival

Sunday, April 16
1-4pm

Fun for the whole family! Drop in anytime during the festival for maple syrup trivia, demonstrations, sap evaporation, and our favorite foods served with real 100% Camp Ihduhapi Maple Syrup! In addition to maple syrup festivities and great music, try your luck with minute-to-win-it challenges, roast a marshmallow over a campfire, and explore the Camp Ihduhapi trails. All ages welcome; 3 and under are free. Walk-in registratiosn welcome. Food will be available for purchase at the Dining Hall.

Sunset Sauna and S’mores

Thursdays beginning April 20
7pm-10pm

Always wanted to experience the Ihduhapi sauna? Now's your chance! Register with your family and/or friends for a Sunset Sauna and S'mores night! We'll stoke the sauna and provide a campfire and s'mores on the beach, while you enjoy the private use of the sauna from 7:00pm-10:00pm. You can sauna and dip into Lake Independence, watch the sunset, and relax by the campfire. The price is $150/group of 6.

Ihduhapi Spring Family Weekend

April 21-23

Why should the kids have all the fun? Enjoy activities at camp with the whole family! We’ll have some traditional camp activities open like arts & crafts, archery, and fire building mixed in with some of our Spring specialty--maple syruping! Families will enjoy many of these activities together, but we’ll also provide some kid and adult time separately. Camp is a beautiful place in the spring, and we would love for your family to join us! All meals during stay will be provided. Participants have three options for length of stay: Full weekend (Fri-Sun), Saturday Overnight (SatSun), or Full Day Saturday (includes lunch)

Cost:

  • Full weekend (includes overnight): $115/person
  • Saturday day rate: $50/person
  • Saturday/Sunday day rate: $95/person

Archery Afternoons

April 23 and May 21
2-4pm

Come out to Camp Ihduhapi and head to the archery range! Instructors will teach proper grip, stance, aim alignment, and the commands. Participants will have plenty of time to take turns practicing their archery skills. Equipment is provided. Ages 4+

Arbor Day: Tree ID in the Trees

April 28, 2023

Celebrate Arbor Day by observing Camp Ihduhapi from the trees! After planting a strand of commemorative trees, participants will take turns climbing high challenge elements while engaging in short, active lessons about the many tree species present in our forest. Ages 8+

Spring Work Day

April 29, 2023

Spring Work Weekend Camp Ihduhapi is looking for volunteers to help us prepare for the spring retreat and summer camp seasons! Tasks may include cleaning cabins, clearing trails, preparing campsites, moving waterfront equipment, special projects, and more. Lunch will be provided. Two volunteer shifts available: 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm (or stay for both!). Please indicate your desired shift time in the questions asked during registration.
