Nature has so much to show us, tell us, and share with us
Outdoor Exploration programs are great ways for kids and families to explore and appreciate the outdoors with expert assistance.
They also make great field trips for public and private schools, homeschool pods, church groups, and other youth-focused communities.
From education to adventure, YMCA of the North is on a mission to give everybody the opportunity to experience nature and all the lessons it has to offer.
Education Meets Activity
Adventure Days
Adventure Days are an excellent way for your child to experience year-round adventures under the expert supervision of YMCA staff.
Our incredible outdoor and indoor spaces give kids a wide variety of options to learn new skills and build self-esteem – including climbing, archery, crafts, cross country skiing, sledding, nature studies, camp games, and much more.
Classes and Day Programs
We offer seasonal wilderness programs that balance interactive instruction, observation, and play in small and large group formats.
We can even tailor programming to your needs and goals. Prices and schedules depend on programming requests. The minimum group size is 12 kids.
Outdoor Learning Program
The Outdoor Learning Program (OLP) is a wonderful complement to classroom and homeschool curriculums by combining experiential learning, outdoor recreation, and community-based experiences.
Nature Preschool
In our Little Seeds Nature Preschool program, students will create a lifelong connection with nature through exploring the Croix farm and garden.
