Building Leaders through Challenge and Opportunity
The Leadership Development Program, LDP, is our leadership progression for teens. LDP instructors teach participants skills in group facilitation, leadership and technical outdoor skills. Instructors build upon participants confidence, problem solving and decision making, and collaboration skills to create well rounded leaders.
Our Intro LDP, for teens entering 10th and 11th grade, is a two-week program where campers partake in a range of leadership development activities, service learning, traditional camp activities, and spend five days, four nights on the St. Croix river on a canoe trip.
Our Advanced LDP, for teens entering 11th and 12th grade, is a four-week program where campers partake in a canoe trip in the Boundary Waters, a circumnavigation sailing trip around Isle Royale, and in-camp leadership development, service learning and traditional camp activities. They will also spend time leading camp activities for other campers, and shadowing cabin counselors. **Application required Advanced LDP, details below.**
