Additional Items to Bring for Teen Extreme
- Comfortable running or tennis shoes that tie for climbing
- Loose fitting or stretchy pants for climbing
- Shoes that can get wet and stay on your feet for canoeing
- Hat with visor
- Sunscreen
- 2 water bottles
Additional Items to Bring for River Trips
- 1 Pair of footwear that is suitable for rough terrain and can get wet (like old tennis shoes or hiking boots).
- 1 Pair of sandals or light tennis shoes for the campsite.
- Swimsuit
- 2 pair shorts (quick drying fabrics are best)
- 2 pair of long pants (quick drying fabrics are best)
- 3-4 pair of wool blend or synthetic socks
- 4-5 pair of thin liner socks
- 3-4 shirts (1 long sleeved)
- 2 sturdy water bottles
- Sleeping bag (light weight and stuffable)
- 1 Dry bag or nylon bag for keeping personal gear dry
- Rain jacket and pants recommended (ponchos are discouraged)
- Toiletries / Biodegradable soap
- Insect repellent (non-aerosol)
- 2 bandanas and hat with visor
- Sunglasses, SPF 30 or greater sunblock and chap stick
- Chamois towel (wrings out)
