Impact Weekends
Volunteers are needed to spend time at camp to assist with facility projects during the fall, winter and spring. There is never a shortage of projects and maintenance needs, including building, repairing, cleaning, organizing, painting, etc. Families can arrive Friday afternoon and settle in. A volunteer meeting is held Saturday morning to discuss the day’s projects.
Impact Weekends include your lodging. It’s just $50 per person ages 13 and up, and $35 per person ages 4-12. Children ages 3 and younger are free.

Fall Impact Weekend I November 3-5, 2023
Missing camp in the summer? Here’s your excuse to come back and enjoy Northern Lights at a slightly slower pace! During our fall impact weekend you’ll spend the days volunteering and helping winterize the property, while enjoying free bike rentals from our Trail Center and exploring the hiking paths in and around camp on your own. Help us transition camp into shoulder season mode and see the place you love from a new perspective.
Alumni Impact Weekend I April 26-28, 2024
Welcome back alumni! Come join us up north as snow melts and the plants start growing again… we need help from volunteers like you to maintain the trails around camp, complete maintenance projects, stack wood, and inventory our program equipment as we race away from spring and towards summer! We'll provide the equipment… You bring the long sleeves, close toed shoes, and muscle! Relax after a hard day’s work with sauna. This Impact Weekend is aimed specifically at our staff alumni network.
Countdown to Summer Impact Weekend I May 17-19, 2024
Our maintenance team is hard at work getting Northern Lights ready for a summer jam-packed with family fun… But they always appreciate some help from volunteers with that final push! Come up to camp before the rush and get an inside peek at how we make family camp ready before the summer season begins. Spend the day working in tandem with our staff, then spend the evenings outside enjoying the warming temperatures or inside relaxing in your cabin with your family.
