Our YMCA answered the call to serve like it has done over its history when the coronavirus crisis greatly impacted our way of life. Our community was in crisis. Our neighbors were in need. And this need continues. Then our community, our country, and our world witnessed through video, George Floyd’s murder. The pain of hundreds of years of racism and inequities of our country were once again visible for all to see…again, in Minneapolis.

The peaceful demonstrations are creating real conversation and real change in our community that is long overdue. The riots and looting destroyed businesses and organizations serving our community. Once again our community is in crisis. Once again our neighbors need us. With your support, your YMCA and its volunteers and partners have been there every day alongside our community by serving hundreds of thousands of people a day who need a helping hand.
