Staying connected with your child’s experience at YMCA Early Childhood Learning Centers is now simpler than ever. Families can now access their child care portal using the Alaris Member app to receive daily updates, photos, and communication from staff, all in one place.
Through the app, you’ll receive:
- Direct messages from staff, plus push notifications right to your phone
- Notes about schedules, activities, lesson plans, and more
- Updates on naps, diapers, and other daily routines
- Photos from your child’s day

The Alaris Member app is available for iPhone and Android users. Go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search “Alaris Member.” You may also use the links provided above.
Once you’ve downloaded the Alaris Member app, open it and follow the on‑screen prompts to create your account. If you are a YMCA member, please use the same email address associated with your Y Community Account. Alaris will send an authentication email—simply complete that step to finalize your setup. After that, you’re ready to begin using the app.
Previously, families accessed Alaris through a web link inside the YMCA of the North app. With the Alaris Member app, you’ll log in directly – no extra steps or guest access required. The app provides the same daily updates you’re used to but with added convenience: push notifications, a dedicated “messages” area, and a mobile-friendly design.
You can still access the Child Care Portal from within the YMCA of the North app. However, when selected, the portal will now open directly in the Alaris Member app, so you’ll need to have that app downloaded as well.
Yes. The web-based experience will remain available, and you can continue to access it at this link if you prefer. The Alaris Member app simply offers a more streamlined mobile option.
