Our programs for kids and teens promote wellness grounded in the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Sports

Kids learn teamwork and build skills through YMCA youth sports.

Part-day Preschool

Three area Preschools prepare kids two to five years old for school with part-day readiness programs during the school year.

Summer Programs

For the summer, children in preschool through eighth grade can enjoy a variety of enrichment programs.

Day Camp Kumalya

Traditional day camp held at Lake Elmo Park Reserve in Lake Elmo. Free bussing available from Oakdale and Woodbury.

Arts and humanities classes

Encourage expression in creativity with enrichment classes for kids. These classes are only offered during select times throughout the year. Contact Member Services at 651-731-9507 for more info.

Birthday parties

We have everything you need for a hassle-free birthday party at the Y. Choose from two- and three-hour options that include fun and age-appropriate activities for kids.

Parents night out

Due to capacity restrictions per COVID guidance from government and health departments, Parents Night Out events are cancelled at this time. The health and safety of youth and families is our priority. Please check back as we will continue to provide updates on this page as circumstances change.

Workout Child Care

When you come to work out at the Y, consider bringing your children along for the fun that awaits them at Kids Stuff, the Y’s child care program. Children ages six weeks to 10 years can participate in age-appropriate activities in a safe environment—free for members.

Due to COVID-19, reservations are required and can be made online up to 24 hours in advance and up to 30 minutes prior to your child’s visit. Visit times are limited to 70 minutes per day, per child.
