Meet Emma Faeflen, University YMCA Community Board, Co-Chair

Hello my name is Emma Faeflen. I'm currently a 4th year student studying Applied Business and the Sociology of Law, Criminology and Justice. This Fall I'm returning to the UY board for my 2nd year as Co-Chair. I find working with UY professionals who are interested in investing back into the community very rewarding. I'm passionate about making higher education and developmental opportunities accessible to all communities so it's always so heartwarming to be in community with people who feel the same. I look forward to all the amazing events and initiatives the board is going to do this year. 

Emilio Alvarez – UY Student Community Board Member

Hello! I am Emilio Alvarez Harris, and I am serving on the UY Community Board this year. I am a student, professional ballroom dancer and web developer. This past year I’ve worked to bring accessible STEM curriculum to young people at the UY and hope to someday build a school centered around holistic technology usage. I can easily be found by following the sound of joyous laughter in the building or by saying “the [insert tech device] is broken again”! I have spent over five years building and maintaining relationships with local companies for the robotics team NoMythic and was excited to bring some of that expertise to the UY this past year.
