A long-time supporter of the YMCA of the North, Troy served more than 10 years on the General Board, including six years as chair of the Audit Committee and most recently on the People and Culture Committee. His commitment to strengthening families and developing young people is also reflected in more than 20 seasons as a youth basketball coach and ongoing volunteer service across the Twin Cities. He holds a degree in finance from the University of Illinois.

Why the Y?

My “why the Y” is grounded in a simple belief: how we support, care for and invest in our team members directly shapes how well we serve our communities. Our teams are stewards of trust, care and consistency for one another and for the people who rely on us every day.

There is more need now than ever for organizations like the Y to help build bridges and create stability in times of change. When we focus on making things a little better, and we take care of each other along the way, we create hope. And hope is a powerful force.
