YMCA Summer Sports - Northeast Region

Overview

Kids of all skill levels and abilities can choose from a variety of sports to explore this summer in week-long YMCA Summer Sports.

Summer Sports Fees

Member Participants: starting at $200/week*
Non-Member Program Participants: starting at $225/week*

*Golf and other programs with offsite experience have a higher weekly fee. One time, non-refundable deposit of $50 per week per child includes a program T-shirt and will be applied to the weekly fee. Weekly fee includes all field trip admissions and program supplies. Financial assistance available for all programs.

Before and After Care: $40/week
7 a.m. – 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Camp Only Drop Off
8:30 a.m. – 9 a.m.

Program Hours
9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Camp Only Pick up
3 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

For your convenience and peace of mind, our Before and After Care provides the participant with supervised activities prior to and following the end of the program day.

Schedule

Soccer

Weeks of June 12, July 17 and August 21

Kids will work through curriculum focused on ball-control, passing, trapping, shooting and defense. Participants have the option of bringing their own shin guards and cleats.

Golf

Weeks of July 5 and August 14*

Young golfers will have an opportunity to improve their driving, chipping and putting. Bring your own golf clubs; but clubs are available if needed.

*Golf program includes 3 Golf Experiences, including a trip to a golf course and/or Top Golf. Pricing for the week: $250/members and $275/non-members ($150/$275 for the week of July 5) 

Volleyball

Weeks of June 12 and July 17

Kids learn about the sport of volleyball including rules, communication skills, serving, setting and passing.

Tennis

Weeks of June 19 and August 7

Learn the fundamentals of tennis. Participants are encouraged to bring their own racquet. Tennis balls are  provided.

Baseball

Weeks of June 19 and July 24

Participants develop and improve skills: throwing, catching, pitching, hitting and running bases.

Track and Field

Weeks of July 10 and August 7

Kids learn the proper techniques of running, pacing, jumping and throwing.

Basketball

Weeks of June 26, July 31 and August 14

Players will progress through the skills of basketball: dribbling, passing, shooting and defensive skills through drills.

Flag Football

Weeks of July 10, July 31 and August 28

Kids get experience in playing every position while learning the offensive and defensive basics. These skills include but are not limited to catching, passing and pursuing the flag.

Beginner Cheer/Dance

Weeks of June 26 and July 24

Kids learn the ins and outs of basic and advanced cheer moves. Finish the week participating in a choreographed routine put to music.
